Best Friends Forever

I had the chance to meet up with one of my very best friends from college on Sunday night for dinner. Jade had been in Napa for a few days working and she and her husband, Matt, were spending the night in San Francisco. She had lived for a number of years in Southern California but moved closer to her hometown in Wisconsin several years ago so our meetups have been few and far between.

It was great to meet Matt- talk about a match made in heaven! They're both pilots (in fact Jade graduated from the School of Aviation at Purdue), both waterski, and do something with snowmobiles in the winter (I've only seen pictures on Facebook of that business- snow? what's that?).

It's hard to believe it has been a decade since we graduated college.....and I'm fairly impressed that we came away relatively unscathed. We would coerce the Jimmy John's delivery biker to bring beer with our subs and hitchhike around campus at 2am.
Our Greek days
In fact, the last time Jade was in Oakland, we came home at 5am after a night out and demanded that Paul make us pizza. Something Paul was quick to remind us when Jade politely asked "when was the last time I saw you guys?"
We look like a couple of trouble makers!

  2. Old friends are the best friends! I never thought of bribing Jimmy Johns to bring alcohol - that's hilarious.

  3. So fun to catch up with old friends! When I worked @ Domino's in college, the delivery drivers would bring beer to their friends who ordered pizza. Glad to know Jimmy John's can also be bribed. ;)
